Democracy, Community and Me was a great incursion provided for the Year 3/4 students this week. Students explored the fundamentals of democracy and government in Australia. They examined the difference between rules and laws and how they are made to benefit the community. It was lovely to hear the students’ remarks and excitement on the trip as they got all revved up about going through the Eastlink tunnel and ‘Oooooo it’s an aeroplane!’

2016May27thnewsletter Congratulations Writers! Last week saw the presentation of our Community Writing in our School Foyer. This term the focus of this writing was ‘Persuasive Texts’. A variety of topics were chosen by students to write about, from ‘Should Mobile Phones be Allowed at Schools’, ‘Cats or Dogs, which are the better pets’ to ‘Art or Physical Education – which are the most
