Inter-School Sport and House Competition

Children in the senior grades (years 3, 4, 5 & 6) play winter and summer inter-school sport with neighbouring primary schools during the second and fourth terms. The students have the opportunity to participate in and enjoy sports such as football, netball, basketball, volleyball, cricket, softball, soccer and tee-ball.

All children from Years 5 & 6, and selected representatives from grades 3 & 4 participate in the interschool athletics, swimming, cross country and basketball competitions. Successful children can progress to compete at a regional and state level in all interschool sporting activities.

A house competition operates throughout the year at Upwey Primary School and involves students in all year levels. The four Houses are:

 Corella  Lowan
 Bogong  Moonah
