Ms Nadja Wood
Teaching the 5/6 students at Upwey Primary School is something I have been very privileged to do for the past 4 years. Before this time, I worked for 17 years at Macclesfield Primary School teaching all of the year levels, from Prep to Year 6. I was also fortunate enough to teach music for all 17 of those years, writing 14 school concerts and choreographing (and winning in 2001!!) the Junior Rock Eisteddfod. In my final years at Macclesfield, I also became the Phys. Ed specialist which was extremely rewarding. I absolutely LOVE teaching and really enjoy watching the students grow, both academically and personally over the years, helping to prepare them for the big, wide world.
When I am not at school, I love spending time with my two gorgeous daughters. My eldest daughter is currently in year 11, and has just received her Learner’s Permit so with white knuckles and a smiling façade, the hours of practice has begun! My younger daughter has a passion for basketball, which takes all our spare time and many (MANY) kilometres each week, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!
